The Columbus Blue Jackets kick off their 2010-11 season with their first home pre-season game on Wednesday, September 22nd at 7:00.   In case you’re not from around here, the Blue Jackets are Columbus’s own professional hockey team and are members of the Central Division, Western Conference of the NHL.  Home games are played at The Nationwide Arena in downtown Columbus.  If you are not from Columbus, the arena district atmosphere is something you have to check out…and you don’t need to be a hockey fan to enjoy the great restaurants, bars, along with the North Market.  For more information, click here for the Blue Jackets website, http://bluejackets.nhl.com/club/app
